Easyspeak – DfE hosted forum to support those with an interest in children's language and communication difficulties exchange ideas and learn from each other
Easyspeak is a mailing list for everyone with an interest in children's language and communication difficulties, and how they are supported. This includes teachers and speech and therapists, other school practitioners, students and parents. Easyspeak is an open discussion group. This means that anyone with an interest in this area is welcome to participate in the discussions. All discussions will be publicly available and when you post a message, your email address will be visible to registered users. All messages sent to Easyspeak are stored in a publicly available archive. Archives are provided as an additional resource to users and enables non members to browse the messages. The archive also means that you do not have to save every message you receive from this forum.

Using Easyspeak
To post a message to all the list members, send email to easyspeak@lists.education.gov.uk.

By emailing and/or subscribing to the Easyspeak mailing list, you agree to follow the Department for Education's acceptable use policy. Please ensure you read it before signing up. Anyone not following this policy may have their email deleted and be removed from the mailing list if a registered user.

Subscribing to Easyspeak

Subscribe to Easyspeak by filling out the following form. This is a hidden list, which means that the list of members is available only to the list administrator. Easyspeak is reactively moderated. An acceptable use policy has been established which members are expected to follow. The details you provide on the registration form will be used only to supply you with the services you have selected. These details will be collected via email and stored electronically in a database in accordance with the current data protection legislation and as set out in the DfE privacy and data protection statement. You will be sent email requesting confirmation, to prevent others from gratuitously subscribing you. This is a hidden list, which means that the list of members is available only to the list administrator.

    You may enter a privacy password below. This provides only mild security, but should prevent others from messing with your subscription. Do not use a valuable password as it will occasionally be emailed back to you in cleartext.

    If you choose not to enter a password, one will be automatically generated for you, and it will be sent to you once you've confirmed your subscription. You can always request a mail-back of your password when you edit your personal options. Once a month, your password will be emailed to you as a reminder.
