Pd-net – DfE hosted forum to support professionals involved in the education of children with physical and neurological disabilities and complex medical needs share ideas and learn from each other
The physical disability network (pd-net) is a discussion group for professionals involved in the education of children with physical and neurological disabilities and complex medical needs. pd-net is intended to provide a forum for the sharing of ideas, views and information and to encourage on-going professional development for practitioners, researchers and others concerned with the education of these young people. pd-net is an open discussion group. This means that anyone with an interest in this area is welcome to participate in the discussions. All discussions will be publicly available and when you post a message, your email address will be visible to registered users. All messages sent to pd-net are stored in a publicly available archive. Archives are provided as an additional resource to users and enables non members to browse the messages. The archive also means that you do not have to save every message you receive from this discussion group.

Using Pd-net
To post a message to all the list members, send email to pd-net@lists.education.gov.uk.

By emailing and/or subscribing to the Pd-net mailing list, you agree to follow the Department for Education's acceptable use policy. Please ensure you read it before signing up. Anyone not following this policy may have their email deleted and be removed from the mailing list if a registered user.

Subscribing to Pd-net

Subscribe to Pd-net by filling out the following form. This is a hidden list, which means that the list of members is available only to the list administrator. Pd-net is reactively moderated. An acceptable use policy has been established which members are expected to follow. The details you provide on the registration form will be used only to supply you with the services you have selected. These details will be collected via email and stored electronically in a database in accordance with the current data protection legislation and as set out in the DfE privacy and data protection statement. You will be sent email requesting confirmation, to prevent others from gratuitously subscribing you. This is a hidden list, which means that the list of members is available only to the list administrator.

    You may enter a privacy password below. This provides only mild security, but should prevent others from messing with your subscription. Do not use a valuable password as it will occasionally be emailed back to you in cleartext.

    If you choose not to enter a password, one will be automatically generated for you, and it will be sent to you once you've confirmed your subscription. You can always request a mail-back of your password when you edit your personal options. Once a month, your password will be emailed to you as a reminder.
