Tod – DfE hosted forum to support teachers and other professionals involved in teaching deaf learners in schools share ideas and learn from each other.

The ToD discussion group is for teachers of the deaf and associated professionals involved in teaching deaf learners in schools, resource centres and services. Its purpose is to provide a platform to share good practice and seek or produce solutions to the challenges of the profession.

Using Tod

To post a message to all the list members, send email to tod@lists.education.gov.uk.

By emailing and/or subscribing to the Tod mailing list, you agree to follow the Department for Education's acceptable use policy. Please ensure you read it before signing up. Anyone not following this policy may have their email deleted and be removed from the mailing list if a registered user.

Subscribing to Tod

Subscribe to Tod by filling out the following form. This is a hidden list, which means that the list of members is available only to the list administrator. Tod is reactively moderated. An acceptable use policy has been established which members are expected to follow. The details you provide on the registration form will be used only to supply you with the services you have selected. These details will be collected via email and stored electronically in a database in accordance with the current data protection legislation and as set out in the DfE privacy and data protection statement. You will be sent email requesting confirmation, to prevent others from gratuitously subscribing you. This is a hidden list, which means that the list of members is available only to the list administrator.

You may enter a privacy password below. This provides only mild security, but should prevent others from messing with your subscription. Do not use a valuable password as it will occasionally be emailed back to you in cleartext. If you choose not to enter a password, one will be automatically generated for you, and it will be sent to you once you've confirmed your subscription. You can always request a mail-back of your password when you edit your personal options. Once a month, your password will be emailed to you as a reminder.
