[Senco-forum] extra time in tests and exams

Hi

I am getting in a muddle with this - please does anyone have any straight forward advice about how much extra time can be given in end of KS1 and KS2 SATS and who is entitled to extra time, scribes and readers.  In end of term tests who is allowed extra time and readers?  For instance a child in Year 5 with a diagnosis of dyslexia - are they automatically allowed extra time in Literacy tests and what about Numeracy (if that is also mentioned as a concern in report).  A particular child in school wasn't given any additional time in a class test and parents think she should have been.  I want to straighten it all out and come up with guidelines for all teachers to understand which of their children need additional time etc.

Please help or point me to straightforward information on internet.
