[Senco-forum] Action Plus

Sorry, I perhaps did not make it clear that we also have an EAL register,
and a very few EAL children are also on the SEN register. So we have three
registers; EAL, School Action and School Action Plus. EAL children are
generally on a Record of Concern at this school as we find they soon
acquire the language skills needed to make good progress.

My feeling is that as long as your system is clear and works for you, and
you can easily explain it to someone else such as an inspector, that should
be fine. Our main aim is to see that no child slips through the net, so
provided we can show we are aware of individual children's needs and can be
seen to be addressing them, I would say that the register they are on is
very much up to the school and the system the school finds works best for
them.

I am not aware that there is any legal requirement for children to be on
any particular register.
